Wordless Wednesday

Back to School shopping!  I do it for me, my own children and my entire class :)

By choice, my students bring in $40 at the start of the year and I provide all their school supplies.  I LOVE having everything the same and everything I need.  My husband laughs when I run from store to store getting all the sales, but there's something about a new box of crayons and a deal! :)

Just curious, do you purchase for your students or do you provide them with a list?

I've linked up with Christina for Wordless Wednesday, although I used a few ... oops!!!

  1. The children don't have to buy anything for school over here except their uniform. We provide all supplies for them. There would be too many without if we didn't do it that way!

    1. I think it's awesome that supplies are provided! Uniforms? Do you get to wear one too? I think I'd like to wear one for awhile, to take choosing clothes out of my day but I'm sure the novelty would wear off!!

  2. We have a list they can buy specific things for or they can give $35 to school for a kit with what we asked for to be purchased. I don't need to go out at all.

  3. Our school sends a list of things the kids will need. I wish we could purchase everything the same!!! Mismatched crayons and things always cause arguments!

    1. That's why I like to do it. That way no one has Ninja Turtle notebooks, or Hello Kitty - everyone gets the same:)

  4. Our kids bring in things that are on a list, but I think the list has to be around $10 because I teach at a Title 1 School. I use my Back to School money to buy what I want them to have though and then as the year goes on if we need more we begin to open up what they bring. :)

    1. Wow! $10 you can't ask for too much with that limit.

  5. We can ask for 10 items on a list (2 boxes of crayons=2 items). We ask for: a pack of pencils, scissors, glue bottle, pack of glue sticks, 2 24 count crayons, box of markers, box of baggies and 2 boxes of tissues. We provide a folder (plastic with full pockets on the front and back) for every child because our entire building uses the same one. Our district charges a $20 fee (which is waived if you get free lunches...83% of our population) to cover workbooks and such.
