Domino Activities

I've been spending some time reading my favorite blogs tonight and am so surprised at how many of you are counting down on your fingers to the last day of school.  We still have 5 weeks left so I admit that I am just a little jealous!!  For those of you with you celebrating your last week this week - ENJOY!!

I have just posted a new mini-unit at my TPT store.  It's a ready to use, print and go set of five domino activities.

What's Included?
1. Flip Flop Facts - Students print the 2 addition sentences for each domino.
2.Domino Partner Spin - Students spin the spinner then color one of the squares. Can be played individually or with a partner.
3. Number Bonds - Students fill in the missing dots on each domino.
4. Domino Fact Families - Students print the fact families to go with each domino.
5. Domino Code - Students find the dominoes hidden in the picture and use the code to color.

A little of this and that to review what we've learned.
As usual, I'll send a copy to the first 3 people who comment on this post.

Mirror Magic - Contractions

My mirror activities started out as a Tricky Leprechaun activity, but the students were so engaged that I've created a few more 'backward' activities since.

The latest has just been posted!

Students use a mirror to read backward contractions.  How fun is that????
As you can see by my photo, I had a crisis ... I ran out of colored ink!  AHHHH!  It might have had something to do with the 300 tickets I printed for my daughter's farewell dance.  I guess I'll be hitting Costco this weekend to pick up some ink :)

To use this word work station, students choose a card and use a mirror to read the contraction.  The word is then recorded and matched to the two words that create the contraction.  I've included the option to use 12 or all 24 cards.  Perfect to add differentiation into your lesson plan.

You can find this HERE at my store.

I've got some lesson planning to do this evening (I know, you're jealous!) but when I finish I'll choose 3 people to receive a copy of this unit.  Just leave a comment with your email :) Perfect, there were 3 comments - I'll send it soon!

Enjoy your evening!

C'mon summer!

Yesterday was the first day this season that I wore sandals!  I was sooooo excited and even though it's rainy and chilly today I know that summer is on it's way!  To celebrate I have added my newest tens and ones mystery picture to my TPT store.  It is beach themed (can;t wait to feel the sand between my toes!) and goes beyond the hundred's chart to include numbers to 120.

Students solve the number of tens and ones to get the number, then color.
Here's a close up:
This product is available HERE at my TPT store and in my Bundle.  If you own the bundle you can download this one for free by heading over to your purchases and re-downloading the bundle.
It is up to a whopping 24 pictures!

As usual, I'll send a copy of my newest mystery picture to the first 3 people who comment on this post.

Happy Sunday!!
