Making 10 printable booklet

Hi again ... I told you that I've been busy getting a few things ready to post in my store - it's those finishing touches that slow me down - making it go from personal use to TPT ready!

Next up ... Making 10 with Cat!
It's a quick and easy, just print and use!

Students need to determine how many more buttons cat needs to Make 10!  They draw missing buttons to fill the ten frame then complete the addition sentence.  They won't even realize that they're solving missing addends!

You can find this booklet HERE in my TPT store.

Question for you ... I have this in my plans for the fall with my firsties.  Do you think a similar booklet to 20 would be a good idea?  I'm debating!

As usual .. the first 3 people who comment on this post will receive a copy.  Don't forget your email!

Let's Taco 'bout Our Names!

I just realized that I didn't post about a recent product in my store!  It's a back to school activity that I plan to use for a bulletin board.  Aren't these tacos ADORABLE?????????
Kids LOVE their names (and so they should - they are as unique as they are!).  I've included a few different options such as Make 10 and make 20.

You can find this activity pack HERE in my TPT store, but as always ... I'll send a copy to the first 3 people who comment on this post!  Don't forget your email!

Number Maze

As a review of representing numbers to 20 I created a number maze of ten frames, dice, dominoes, fingers and tallies and my students had a blast!!!  So much so that I thought I'd share it with you as a freebie.

This activity really showed me who my quick subitizers were and who needed a bit more more practice.  Click HERE to download and enjoy!!

Numbers 0-20

When I meet my firsties at the beginning of the school year the first thing we do in math is review numbers 0-20. I've created a number booklet to add to my math stations that will keep them busy and I'll be able to use it for assessment at the same time :)

Students use either a bingo dabber or crayons to identify different representations of numbers.  I've included numerals, number words, fingers, tallies, dice, objects, dominoes and ten frames.

Each number has it's own page so you can choose some or all and staple them with the cover page for students to have their own booklet to work in.  I've also added 'I can' cards for both bingo dabbers and crayons so you can have a ready to go math station or have it ready for early finisher work.  Here's a little peek at what's included.

You can find this learning pack HERE at my TPT store or by clicking on the picture below.

As always I'd love to give a few of these away.  The first 3 people to comment on this post will get a copy - don't forget your email.

Play Dough Fun!

Happy Sunday and Happy Fall!  The leaves are turning color here and even though I dread winter arriving I must say that fall is my favorite time of year.  We went apple picking yesterday and now I can smell the apple crisp in the oven - yummy!!!!

Last night I posted a new product in my TPT store. It's a hands-on play dough activity that will have your students 'building' numbers, number words and ten frames for the numbers 0-20.

I've included an I can student instruction card to remind students what they should be doing with the play dough.
You'll find a recipe for some yummy swelling play dough and every page is included in color and black & white.  You can find it HERE at my TPT store.

And that's not all! Here's a FREE alphabet pattern activity that students can use to 'build' their names,
You can download it HERE for free.

I'd love to send a copy of my number mats to a couple winners!!

Halloween Math Work Stations

I planned to blog about my Halloween Math Work Stations when October rolled around, but since people are buying the unit from my TPT store I realized that as teachers we are planners and of course we are getting organized for October !  So, here they are !

My Halloween work stations focus on numbers to 30 with a little patterning, symmetry and graphing thrown in.
Check out all that is included:
I included an "I can..." card with each activity so all you need to do is print, (laminate for years of use) and put them in your math tubs !  You can find this unit here at my TPT store.

I would love to give one of these units away to one of my followers.  I will randomly choose one of the first five followers who leave a comment on this post.  Don't forget your email so I can send it to you !

Thank you so much to everyone who commented !  I am thrilled that you are all interested in my products ! I used a random generator to come up with a winner.
Congratulations Vicky ! I will be sending you an email shortly !  If you didn't win this time keep checking back because I am working on a new set of math work stations and will be giving one away !

Check out these fall ideas from a great fall blog hop at Teaching My 3.

Build a Scarecrow and Giveaways

Take a peek at my newest 'Make 10' activity that I have added to my TPT store.
In my opinion students can never have enough practice at 'making 10'.  To play this game students begin with a playing mat that has a scarecrow pole on it.  Taking turns they turn over two ten frame cards.  If the cards 'make 10' then they add a piece to their scarecrow.  The first to build their scarecrow wins!  I have included an I can... card so your work station is ready to go!  To change things up a bit print extra copies of the pumpkin ten frame cards and you have an instant ten frame matching game !  You can find this station here at my TPT store.

Would you like a copy of this math work station?  I would love to give away a copy to the first 2 people who are followers of my blog and leave a comment on this post.  Don't forget your email so I can send it to you!

Friendly Ghosts Freebie and Linky

I joined a Spooky Linky over at Graphics From the Pond.  Every activity in the linky is available at TPT and uses the same Friendly Ghosts graphics.  I plan to head over and pick up some products to 'build my own' Friendly Ghosts unit for my classroom!

I decided to offer my product for FREE.  Click on the picture to pick up your copy of a ready to use math work station for Halloween.  Students will work with ten frames and numbers 10 to 20. I have included an I Can... card and a recording sheet.  All I ask is if you use this activity please take a minute to leave feedback!  Thanks!!

Click on the graphic to go to the linky.  It is just getting started, but I'm sure lots more TPT sellers will be linking up!
I am currently working on my Halloween math work station unit.  It should be ready soon!
