Making Responsible Choices

It was an exciting day today ... with still a month left of summer vacation I finished ALL of my school supply shopping for my students!  Wahoo ... celebration time!  At my school, each student pays a $50 school supply fee and we purchase everything they need.  I LOVE that all the students have everything they need and everyone has the same quality and brand.  I also LOVE the expression on people's faces when I but 24 packages of markers, 50 boxes of crayons, 24 binders ... LOL the list goes on!  The only drawback is that we pay out of pocket first so my credit card gets a good little workout!

On another note ... something new has been added to my TPT store.

All day, everyday we our modeling responsible choices in our classrooms.  The activities in my newest learning pack provide purposeful opportunities to discuss and review those behaviors.

Everything you see above is included in both color and b&w.

In this learning pack you will find:
- a pocket chart sort
- printable discussion cards
- a cut / paste activity
- a writing flip booklet
- an anchor chart
- graphics to make a class pledge

You can find it HERE in my TPT store.

As always, I'll send a copy of Making Responsible Choices to the first 3 people who comment on this post.  Don't forget your email!   Wowzers ... I had 3 comments in 10 minutes!  Thank you all for visiting my little blog!

Making 10 printable booklet

Hi again ... I told you that I've been busy getting a few things ready to post in my store - it's those finishing touches that slow me down - making it go from personal use to TPT ready!

Next up ... Making 10 with Cat!
It's a quick and easy, just print and use!

Students need to determine how many more buttons cat needs to Make 10!  They draw missing buttons to fill the ten frame then complete the addition sentence.  They won't even realize that they're solving missing addends!

You can find this booklet HERE in my TPT store.

Question for you ... I have this in my plans for the fall with my firsties.  Do you think a similar booklet to 20 would be a good idea?  I'm debating!

As usual .. the first 3 people who comment on this post will receive a copy.  Don't forget your email!

Let's Taco 'bout Our Names!

I just realized that I didn't post about a recent product in my store!  It's a back to school activity that I plan to use for a bulletin board.  Aren't these tacos ADORABLE?????????
Kids LOVE their names (and so they should - they are as unique as they are!).  I've included a few different options such as Make 10 and make 20.

You can find this activity pack HERE in my TPT store, but as always ... I'll send a copy to the first 3 people who comment on this post!  Don't forget your email!

Pizza Math

Happy July!!!!  I hope that you're enjoying summer as much as I am!  Don't get me wrong - I LOVE teaching but this time with family to relax and rejuvenate is an essential part of our job and we are so lucky to get it. :)

I have just posted a new math product in my TPT store.  When started making it for my classroom I was creating a 'Making 10' game to reinforce the addition strategy but then I started thinking.  I know there will be some students who aren't ready for that strategy yet but who would enjoy okaying a pizza themed game so I added two games that are played the same way but focus on number sense.

The finished product looks like this ...
I am hopeful that this product allows for easy differentiation which helps so much with planning!  You can find it HERE in my TPT store.

I know people probably aren't reading too many teacher blogs so early in July, but I will still send a copy of this learning pack to the first 3 people who comment on this post no matter how long it takes!  Don't forget your email!
