It's no secret that I am a fan of Joy Cowley!  I haven't read a book of hers that I didn't love but I am especially in love with her Mrs. Wishy-Washy characters.  So you can imagine how thrilled I was to hear that Hameray Publishing wanted me to host a mini-giveaway!!

Wishy-Washy Giveaway!!

Do your students love Mrs. Wishy-Washy?  I know mine do!  Just this week one of my reading groups read Mrs. Wishy-Washy and the Big Wash and they giggled and laughed at those silly animals.  I created a short vowel page for them to work on after reading the book.  If you'd like a copy just click on the picture.

Mrs. Wishy-Washy's Christmas

My firsties and I have been spending some time working on story retelling.  I'm trying to get them to remember to include many story elements including - setting, characters, events, problem and solution.

One of my favorite Christmas stories is Mrs. Wishy-Washy's Christmas so I decided to make a Christmas retelling light string.  I'm thrilled with how it turned out.

Doesn't Instacollage make it look festive?
