It's been awhile :)

Hi all!
It seems like it's been awhile since I've written a post. My blog is unfortunately one of the things that gets pushed aside when life gets busy.  But, family first and with two teenagers need I say more????
I've updated an activity I use in my classroom and realized it's posted as a freebie in my store so have posted the update there. It's not listed as a new product so it won't come up in your feed but here's a peek...
This is a dice doubles plus one game played with a partner.  Students roll one dice, double the number, add one and color the sum.  The first to cover all their numbers wins.  I've included an 'I can' card to build student independence and all pages are in both color and black and white.  You can download this freebie HERE at my TPT store.

I've had a chance to upload a new Easter Mystery Picture.  I've had a 1-100 one in my store (which got a little update) and earlier this week added one for a 120 chart.

If you own my Mystery Picture Bundle, you're in luck because you can head over to your purchases and download these for free :)

I'd live to give a few copies of my Easter mystery pictures away.  The first 3 people who comment on this post will receive a copy of each to help you with your Easter week planning.  :)
Happy Saturday!!!!!!!!

Halloween Fun!!

I know I said it yesterday, but I'll say it again ... I am loving this looooong weekend!!!!
The turkey's in the oven and I'm waiting for my family to arrive - yummy!!!!!!!!!

So, just stopping in to let you know that I have added a new Mystery Picture to my Bundle.

and made a few upgrades to some of the most popular pictures.

They're all available individually in my store (just click on them to take you there) and I've updated my Bundle which you can redownload for free at TPT. Just go into "my purchases".

I hope that you are enjoying a long weekend too!  (If not, I'm soooo sorry).

Fall Tree Mystery Picture

My husband thought it would be funny to bring in a couple of fall colored leaves when he was mowing on the weekend.  I'm hoping they were left over from last year, because it is WAY TO EARLY for that!!

But it did get me thinking about fall so I made a new mystery picture of non-other than a ... fall tree!

As with my other pictures, students need to solve the tens and ones to find the number  before they color.  I listed this in my TPT store and also included it in my bundle.

There are currently 20 pictures in the bundle.  If you already own the bundle you'll want to head on over to TPT and re-download for a few reasons.

1. To pick up your copy of the Fall Tree picture (did I mention it is for a 120 chart?)
2. I added a binder cover because you need a place to hold all these puzzles.
3. I updated the "I can..." card that can be used with any of my pictures in a math station.  Sometimes I use them as a whole class activity, but other times I put them in a station and this comes in handy.
I feel so organized today after doing up my binder!!!  YAY!!!!!

Would you like a copy of the Fall Tree Mystery Picture?  I'll send a copy to the first 2 people who comment on this post with their email!

Another product makeover!

I was so thrilled with my last product makeover that I just had to do another.  Once again, I got that feeling like I cleaned out a closet.

If you have a copy of my One More, One Less, Ten More, Ten Less math station then you're in luck.  You just need to head over to your TPT purchases and redownload.

Here's a peek at what you'll find:

I've updated the graphics, changed the font and added a black and white option.  Not to shabby if I do say so myself!

In this activity students choose a number card and record it on the recording sheet.  Using the included hundred's chart they find the numbers that are one more, one less, ten more and ten less and record those.  Sounds easy right?  For some students it is, but just in case I have included a mini-anchor chart to help them along.

If you do not have a copy but would like one you can find it at my TPT store.  As always. I'll send a copy to the first 2 followers who comment on this post.  Don't forget your email!

Before you go!!!!!!!!!

BIG NEWS!!!!!!!!!!!
Today is the last day to enter the Back to School Extravaganza at The Teaching Tribune.  We have saved the best for last.  A Nexus Tablet!!!!!!!  Click on the picture below t o head on over.  The contest closes at midnight tonight!  Good luck!!

Earth Day Mystery Picture

I am LOVING this long weekend!!! The sun is shining, snow is melting and I am getting so much done.  I even fought the crowds at Costco this morning and only ran into 4 students.  I love how their parents look into my cart to see what I am buying  :-)

I'm trying to get some of my April planning done and finished up my Earth Day Tens and Ones Mystery Picture.

I uploaded it to my TPT store on it's own and added it to my Mystery Picture Bundle.

If you have already purchased the bundle just head on over to your TPT purchases and redownload.

Before students color they need to solve.

8 tens 4 ones  84

I had my daughter be my editor this morning and here's what her finished product looks like:

If you plan to use this activity as a math work station you can find a free "I can" card here.

I will send a copy of the Earth Day mystery picture to the first 2 followers who comment on this post.

Happy Easter!

Just for fun!

My students were asking for a new place value mystery picture but I wasn't ready to give them the one I made for Groundhog Day or Valentine's Day so I made one just for fun!  Gumballs are good anytime of year, right?  You can find it at my TPT store.
Here's a little peek :)

I also added it to my Bundle pack at my TPT store.  So if you have already purchased the bundle go back and download for free :-)

Would you like a copy of the Gumball Mystery Picture?  The first 2 followers who leave a comment on this post will get it for free (don't forget your email)!

If you like this activity you will enjoy this packet available at my TPT store.  Each mystery picture is also available individually.

I just linked up to two wonderful New Year Linkies.  Click on the picture to head over to Teach is a Gift and you'll find all kinds of links to help you with your January planning :)

Tens and Ones Christmas Mystery Picture

Okay ... the Christmas music and hustle and bustle at the malls have me doing my Christmas shopping (I really need to) planning.  I love Christmas and now that report cards and parent-teacher conferences are behind me the planning is in full swing.  I have my Christmas math work stations posted at TPT and I'll be doing a post about them soon :-)

For now I thought I would show you my Christmas Tens and Ones Mystery Picture.
Students need to solve each number then find the number and color.  For example:
4 tens 7 ones ___

You can find this activity at my TPT store.  Students pages are black and white so you can save your color ink :)  If you plan to use this as a math work station you can find a free I can... card here.  I am going to help the first 2 followers who leave a comment on this post with their Christmas planning.  I'll send them each a copy of this activity. (Don't forget your email)

Also, don't about the ongoing fundraiser for Georgian teacher Teresa Williams who remains in CCU.  You can see the details at 2nd Grade Pad.
