If the decision were up to me, I would introduce this activity during the daily 5 activities. I know that the words are math related, but the students are finding the words, reading them, and on one sheet writing a sentence with the words. The students are probably already familiar with using these types of activities in their daily 5 work and they would be able to do the station without problem. I would also ask myself another question: Do I want the sentences the students write to be math related? For example one student may write "The number five is odd." but another student may write, "Mrs. Hood has an odd cat." I would make sure that my expectations for these sentences were clear to myself and to the students before I asked them to complete this station. They may not think about the sentence needing to be math related otherwise.
