Valentine's Day Mirror Words

Here in the east we're all digging out from under the snow and getting ready for another dumping.  I am soooo envious right now of those of you who live where it's warm and sunny.  I'm longing for my flip flop days!!!

However, snowy days give me time to finish up some products I have been working on.  I just posted my Mirror Words activity for February.

My students love seeing the mirrors at a literacy station as much as the magnifying glasses.

Students use a mirror to read backward words and record them on a choice of two recording sheets.  This will allow you to differentiate for your students.  An "I can" student instruction card is included for each recording choice.  You can find this engaging learning pack HERE.

If you own my Mirror Words Bundle I have added it to the pack so you can re-download for free :)

As always, I'll send a copy of my Valentine Mirror Words to the first 3 people who comment on this post.  Don't forget your email!

Punctuation Anchor Chart

I LOVE using anchor charts in my classroom but oh boy do some of mine need a little upgrade. My goal over the next couple of months is to spend time doing just that!

This punctuation chart turned out so cute that I just had to share with all!!

I've posted the accents as a FREEBIE in my TPT store HERE and hope that you all find it as adorable as I do!

In this pack you'll also find an activity to check for understanding along with an 'I can' student instruction card so you can copy and toss it into a literacy station.

If you like this idea or have other suggestions, please let me know as I'm hoping to create a number of these :)

Have a great week everyone!!

there, their, they're

there...their...they're

Why must the English language be so tricky at times?  Does it make you cringe when you get notes from parents with these all mixed up?  Although it drives me bonkers it reminds me that we need to help out students learn the difference.

Use these mini-posters in your classroom as a reminder of the differences between the three.

Then, use the included flip book to have students write a sentence using each of the three words.

If you'd like to pick up a copy I've posted it for FREE at my TPT store.  Enjoy my friends!

Valentine's Day Dice Activities with a FREEBIE

Happy Wednesday!
Is it freezing where you are?  Here in the east, we are in a DEEP FREEZE!  Personally, I've had enough indoor recesses for this week and there are still two more days :)  I think I can ... I think I can...

To help with your Valentine's Day planning I have just uploaded a new freebie to my store.

To use this activity students roll 2 dice, double the sum and find and color the number.   It can be used whole class, small group or individually and includes an 'I can' student instruction card.

This freebie can be found HERE and is a perfect companion for my complete Valentine's Day Dice learning pack.

The complete pack includes tallies, addition, subtraction, base ten, adding ten, number bonds and more.  It can be found HERE.

As always, the first 3 people who comment on this post will receive a copy of the complete pack.

Keep warm my friends!
